Aren't you loving these summer afternoons? I just can't get happier during this season when even the rainy days are completely enjoyable.
One of those nights I was planning to catch a Netflix show but had some uncontrollable sugar cravings that I just had to run to the kitchen and find something to eat.
Now, I'm as self conscious as anyone else and definitely don't want to end the summer with some extra pounds so I decided to bake a tray of healthy cookies that a friend recently suggested (god bless Pinterest) which recipe avoids sugar, butter, chocolate and all those delicious and evil ingredients that are reserved for VERY special days.
Before jumping to the recipe I must state that I'm not Martha Stewart and I don't pretend to turn this blog into a cooking channel but I will eventually share some dishes here only if they are incredibly easy, healthy and most important: delicious (as these cookies!)
3-ingredients healthy-yummy cookies
Difficulty: Extremely easy
Time required: 40 minutes (10 minutes Prep/ 30 Cooking)
- 2 bananas
- Oats (uncooked are better)
- Your preferred topping (I used raisins but you can add dry fruit, nuts, almonds, cinnamon etc)
- wide-mouth bowl
- Bean/potato smasher (if you don't have one you can use a spoon instead)
- Bakery tray
- Optional: blender
Let's do this:
1) Place the bananas and the oats in the bowl
Pro tip: It will be easier if oats have been blended, specially if these are uncooked, just place the oats in the blender for some seconds and you'll be done.
3) Add your topping and start forming balls with the mix placing them on a previously greased bakery tray.
I recommend to serve while they are warm (or reheat in the microwave), if you have them with a big glass of almond milk you'll be ready for the Healthiest Human award (if there is such thing)
Hope you give this cookies a try, specially since you can eat the mix before cooking without worrying for a stomach ache,
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
